Implantološka estetika u nepredvidivim situacijama

7. svibnja 2020. u 11 sati – May 7, 2020 11:00 AM

Presented by Juraj Brozović PhD, DMD
Specialist in Oral Surgery from Split, Croatia

Advancing surgical techniques and developing contemporary materials have lead to a refinement in success criteria for implant dentistry. Implant survival and absence of bone and soft tissue pathology are no longer the sole factors taken into consideration. Rather, the subjective and objective aesthetic assessment is essential in defining successful outcomes. The predictability of implant-prosthetic treatment is highly dependant on the bone and soft tissue volume in the edentulous ridge. Its loss often prevents predictable implant placement without additional grafting surgery. A biologically-driven approach, carried out in a minimally invasive manner may challenge the conventional grafting procedures and result with predictable outcomes and less sequelae for the patient. In this lecture, design traits of implant-abutment assemblies are evaluated biologically, and soft and hard tissue grafting techniques are discussed with regards to the level of aesthetic challenge and degree of invasiveness.
